SUNDAY SCHOOL Fall is here! Another school year has started, and so has another year at Sunday School! We have a great curriculum this year to help us learn all the ways that God has provided for and helped us in the past, continues to do so in the present, and will do so in the future.
So here’s what you need to know:
Who: Your child, ages 2-high schoolHope to see you all there!
What: Sunday School
When: Every Sunday morning at 10:30
Where: Trinity Lutheran School
Why: To build a firm foundation on Jesus
How: Come to church, drop your little one off at Sunday School, and stay for the adult Bible study in the church basement.
LEAF RAKING has been postponed. Please join us on Sunday, November 3, 2:00 – 4:00 PM. All members of Trinity are invited to join the youth in a day of serving others in our congregation. Bring your rakes, gloves, leaf raking equipment to take care of this important job for other members of our congregation. Please RSVP to Clint Dietrich at email@example.com if you are able to assist so we can arrange for proper transportation.
CHURCH KITCHEN SHOWER All the money from funeral lunches, etc., has been used for the purchase of the two new stoves. It has been brought to our attention that the church kitchen is in need of several items. Those items are: styrofoam cups, napkins, paper towels, sweet and low packets, creamer packets, lemonade mix and coffee. If you would like to donate a gift card or cash instead of bringing in the above items, please give it to Vicki in the church office.
PLEASE PAY IT FORWARD! The US Cellular “Calling All Communities” contest is starting November 4, 2013. Trinity Lutheran School was a winner in 2011. This year, Dubuque Lutheran School would appreciate your vote.
Dubuque Lutheran School in Dubuque has 35 students from Kindergarten thru 5th grade. They have 3 full time teachers and a part time principal. Further information will be coming when the rules are posted on the US Cellular website.
CHURCH DOORS: If you leave the church by the front doors (exiting on 1st Avenue), please make certain the doors shut behind you. We have found them ajar a couple of times in the past month.
THANKSGIVING GIFT CARDS: The Board of Human Care will be sending $25.00 and $50.00 Walmart Gift Cards to Trinity Church and School`s neediest families. And again we are asking members of Trinity to help. You may purchase your gift cards from the School Scrip ladies in the church fellowship entrance or purchase them at Walmart (or cash is always good). God Bless Us All! Gift cards and money should be in by November 17 in order to get them out to families prior to Thanksgiving.
TYPEWRITER: On the back counter in the church office is a typewriter that we are not using anymore. Anyone who would like this typewriter is welcome to take it.
ALTAR FLOWERS are given to the Glory of God by George & Shirley McCord in honor of their 10th Wedding Anniversary October 25.
OPENINGS FOR ALTAR FLOWERS Once again we have weekends open in November and December for flowers. If you would like to put flowers on the altar for one of the following weekends: Nov. 10 or 17, Dec. 1, 8, or 15, call Vicki in the church office (366-1569).

TLS Wants YOUR Hy-Vee Receipts and Box Tops! Please bring us your Hy-Vee receipts (remember last year we raised $4,000!) and your Box Tops. These two programs really help the school.
