Call update: Rev. Scott Porath of Eagle, NE has declined our call. The call committee will be meeting soon to consider candidates. The new roof is going up! Drive by and take a look, and pray for dry weather so it can be finished quickly.
Trojan Dash went well last weekend. We had 110 participants in the 5k obstacle run at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca last weekend, which is great for a first year. The weather was just right, and we received many compliments on the course, which was laid out by the Oxleys. Thanks to all our volunteers and those who ran!
Voters met last night and voted to extend a call to Rev. Scott Porath of Eagle, Nebraska. We pray for God's guidance as he considers our call.
Please plan to attend this meeting on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 6:30 PM. At this meeting we will call a Second Grade Teacher and a Senior Pastor.
Rev. Kirk Clayton has returned our call. The call committee will be meeting soon to consider candidates to present to the voters. Stay tuned for updates.
Our congregation chairman, Phil Beck comments:
Trinity members, even though Pastor Clayton has returned our call, we should not feel that all is lost. We are still receiving God’s gifts. Pastors Miller and Rothchild are still preaching the Word and administering the Sacraments. Christ is still looking out for His Bride (the Church). We all need to keep in mind that Christ has promised us that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there. He has promised us He will always be with us. He knows who He has for us, we need to bear with patience. Lord we believe, help our unbelief.
Together in Christ,
Announcing an exciting new event: TROJAN DASH! A fun fundraiser for Trinity Lutheran School, Trojan Dash is scheduled for Sat., April 27 at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca.
What is it? It's a 5K run... with attitude! Think obstacles like a rope swing, a wall climb, a tunnel crawl, a hay bale climb. Prizes for the top three finishers in each age group. And fun for the whole family!
Early Registration is now open, and more details are at the Trojan Dash site. But hurry! Early Registration rates expire on March 15, and start times will fill up fast!
We will still have Bible studies and Sunday School, our 10:30 service and potluck to follow. We had already cancelled the 8:00 service so we could celebrate TLS at 10:30. Drive safely!

On Sun., Jan. 27, we will have a special service that involves our students at 10:30, and a potluck for all the church and school families right after the service. Please plan to come to the potluck. Each family is asked to bring table service and two dishes to share.
want to bring our church and school family together as ONE on Sunday at
the 10:30 service. We will NOT have an 8:00 a.m. service that day (Jan.
27). We WILL have Bible studies and Sunday School as usual.
We have been blessed to have a Lutheran school since 1884, the year Trinity was founded. Our forefathers wasted no time: the church was founded in August and school started in November! We're proud of our school and the well-rounded education we provide, and we are thankful for the countless opportunities it has given us to "Make Christ Known" to so many souls.
Please join us on Tues., Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. as we meet to prayerfully consider candidates to call for our senior pastor.
Trinity is hosting the 49th Annual Mid-Winter Basketball Tournament on Jan. 18-20. As usual, we will have a special worship service at 9:15 a.m. that Sunday. Because of the extra service, there will be no Bible studies or Sunday School that day.
